Max is an amazing swimmer.  He loves swimming!  He jumps in and swims to the stairs and does it all over again.  It is pretty amazing actually.

Twice a summer our neighbors get their band together and have a little concert for the neighborhood (you can see the band in the background behind Wes and Viktor).  We brought a small keg filled with pFriem beer - Blonde IPA.  Both boys took naps that afternoon and were able to stay up pretty late.  Max played with the big kids and Wes wowed the neighbors with his cuteness.  Rudy's cousin Viktor is staying with us this summer and took some great pictures.  There is another concert in August and I hope we have as much fun as we did at this one.  

Wes is 10 Months!

 

 

 

10 months already you ask?!?!?  Yes, this little boy is growing up fast.  I am a little late posting these pictures but I did take them fairly close to his 10 month birthday.
Whenever I am around this little boy I just want to kiss him and hug him and squeeze him and love him.  Because he is so cuddly and smiley and happy (except when he is sick or teething).
There honestly isn't much that he does not like.  He doesn't like getting dressed and he doesn't really like baby food (seriously, that is about it).  He loves ice cream, standing up, chasing his big brother with mom, live music, taking a bath and making lots of noise.
I am still nursing him regularily and he is still getting up once or twice in the night to nurse.  He wakes up about every 4-5 hours at night.  When I only have to get up with him once at night it is a nice treat.  When I have to get up with Wes twice and with Max about 7 times it is miserable (this post is not about Max but Max is not sleeping well.  He is having trouble getting himself back to sleep at night and has been trying for months to sleep in our bed with us).  I hope that I will be better rested when I go to wean Wes because I think it is going to be tough to break him of his midnight snacking.
As far as I can tell, Wes is very coordinated.  He loves opening cupboards and drawers and very rarely hits his head or smashes his fingers.  He also seems to be very cautious and deliberate with his movement.  He is very good at picking up food from his tray on his high chair and also good at throwing it off his high chair if he does not want it.
10 months is such a cute age.  I hope to always remember this stage.
