Just like Max, Wesley digs his bath! He is a lucky boy to get a bubble bath at 4 months. Hopefully in a few months the boys will be taking baths together.

Wes is 4 Months!

Baby Wes-el-ley is 4 months old today! He is a lover! He is a soft, little snuggly guy. He very rarely gets red in the face (aka cries hard) and you can turn his frown into a smile in an instant. He continues to take a lot of abuse from his big brother but he takes it in stride. As the second child he has to roll with the punches and he does it well. He is so different from Max that it almost blows our minds. Max was a poor eater but a great sleeper at night. Wes is a great eater but a poor sleeper at night. Max was very difficult to put to sleep and you can just lay Wes down and he falls within 10 minutes. Max's first laugh was as infectious as they come and Wes has this adorable little chuckle that just puts a smile on your face. I don't need to say it but they look very different from each other. I could go on for days about how different they are but the point is that they are their own little people and we feel very lucky to have them in our lives.

Christmas 2011

This is the best Christmas ever! As Max would say. Santa came to our house this year and gave Max a ton of presents. He got clothes and books and toys and even a fireman outfit. He loved it! He was a little bit scared of Santa Claus (as he should be - what little kid wants a stranger in his house?). Santa came to our house on Christmas Eve just like he used to come to his daddy's house when he was little. Max had to go and hide until he heard a bell ring and then 'poof' he had lots and lots of presents. I think next year is going to be even more fun.

Wes is 3 months!

Our littlest man is 3 months already. Actually, he was three months on the 23rd but we are just getting around to uploading pictures. This guy is still the sweetest and most pleasant baby we have ever met. So far he is content to just sit and watch the world around him (as long as he is well rested and well fed). Big brother still likes to give him a lot of kisses and squeezes but things are getting a little easier for us because he finally realizing that hurting his baby brother has consequences.
The second baby is a little different from the first in that I am not reading about the milestones that he is supposed to be reaching (just don't have time). He can grab his toys and put his hands in his mouth and hold his head up, etc. We generally enjoy his company when he is awake and Max mostly enjoys my company when he is asleep.
It is getting late and I must go to bed because if I am lucky Wes will sleep 4 hours in a row instead of 2.5. If I am really lucky he will sleep 5 hours in a row but I never count on it. If you haven't met Wes, I hope you get to meet him soon.
