Timberline or bust

Max went to Timberline for the first time with Rudy's parents. He got to go sledding and check out the lodge and watch skiers and snowboarders. It sounds like they all had a great time.

He might have eaten the entire cake if we let him. He really liked it which made me happy.

Max is 12 months!

One year old already! What? How did that happen?

I can't believe that only a year ago he was a 7 pound baby that did nothing but sleep, eat and poop. Now he is a 22 pound walking (sort of), talking little man with a big personality. It seems that there is nothing more amazing then watching your own tiny baby turn into a little person. Max is ALL boy! He likes to roar like a lion, bang on things, kick everything and play in the dirt. He seems to have no fear; he will crawl down the stairs head first, he has no problem going down the slide all by himself and he will climb on anything that seems climbable.

Anyway, Max is 1 and he is a healthy and happy little boy.

Max was greeted on his first birthday morning by a beautiful rendition of the Happy Birthday song. He was looking at me like I was crazy. I think he liked it.

We love it when Max rubs his feet together like this. It usually means that he is very content. Here he is happy to be eating momma's white bean soup outside on the back porch.
