New Brewery opening in Hood River!

Yes we did just have a baby and Rudy is super busy at work but we are also starting a brewery in Hood River! Our friends that we are starting this with are putting in tons of time and man hours to make this work. We are very excited for this new adventure and we really hope it takes off.

Wes is 5 months!

It has been a crazy 5 months to say the least! We haven't had much rest since we brought this little guy home from the hospital. Max does not stop moving and demands most of our attention so Wes has had to learn how to fall asleep on his own and to hang out all by himself (which is awesome). Outside of the 4 colds, bronchiolitis and an ear infection, things have gone swimmingly. We spend a lot of wasted time and effort trying to keep Max away from Wes as to not give him his preschool germs but the sneezing, coughing and snot trails make this task impossible. It is an understatement to say that I am looking forward to the summer where there are less germs and we can spend more time outside.
It is safe to say that I am enjoying baby time with Wes much more than I did with Max. Things are just less stressful the second time around. I haven't spent any time reading baby books or comparing him to other babies. I cherish my alone time with Wes and love to make him giggle and give him tons of kisses. His breath smells so good and his skin is so soft and squishy. I hope that I can remember these senses forever.
At our last doctor appointment, Wes was 16.5 pounds and I think 26.75 inches tall which puts him around the 60 - 75% for height and weight. He lost some weight when he got sick but fortunately he had some to spare. He has been rolling over (a month and half earlier than Max) and he is pretty close to sitting up on his own. He is a fabulous napper, he sleeps 1-2.5 hours on his own in his crib 2 or 3 times a day. At night he has trouble sleeping for longer than 4 hours but with all of his colds I have been getting up to feed him whenever he wakes up. I hope that in the next few months he figures out how to sleep for longer stretches at night. He no longer uses a pacifier because he has found his thumb, his left thumb to be specific. Max loves his baby brother and so do we!
