Human Race Update: Max Robert Kellner

Hey Y'all. Max Robert Kellner arrived at 10:55am on Thursday May 21st. He weighed in at 7lbs even, and 20inches in length.

Mom was a real trooper during the delivery; Max squirted out so suddenly, that one of the delivery nurses was still opening the door to the birthing suite while he was airborne. The doctor had just put on her scrubs a couple of minutes before, soon after realizing that the practice pushes we for shizzle, and that the little Kellner wanted to see his parents.

Mom and boy are doing great. When he's not nursing, he enjoys watching the Lakers lose, the Stanley Cup playoffs, and being in dad's arms.

He is not going to show up on time. I guess he would rather be a Gemini than a Taurus.
Does anyone out there have any tricks to get him to come out?

39 weeks and 6 days

As promised, here is a picture of me! When I purchased this shirt, I never thought it would truly fit. This picture was actually taken last week but I think I still look the same.
Still in the holding pattern for this little guy. Not much has changed. The doctor says that most first pregnancies end up late and I guess I get to be part of an expanding statistic.
Keep your fingers crossed for an uneventfully smooth birth!!!

39 weeks and no baby yet

I am just hanging out at home and resting for his his big debut. I haven't tried any tricks to coax him out yet. I have a co-worker that swears by drinking castor oil. I am certainly ready to be a mom but I am not so excited about labor. I am not going to lie to you, it doesn't sound pleasant (for either of us). I've got my bag packed for the hospital; I even have snacks for Rudy. The wait is getting shorter and shorter. He should be here soon!!!

p.s. I took some self portraits in the bathroom mirror yesterday but I am not smart enough to get them uploaded to the computer.

38 weeks and waiting...

Sorry I still don't have any pictures to share with you again this post. We have taken some pictures of me but we just haven't taken the time to upload them to the computer. Just picture me and then picture me pregnant and that is what I look like. I have some cute, stylish maternity clothes that were handed down to me from Sara Richins and I will be forever indebted to her; she has no idea nor will she ever truly understand how much that meant to me. Anyway, I am just writing to let you know that all is still going well. I predict that I will be playing the waiting game for a few more weeks. It is a crazy concept to think that our lives could change in a matter of hours or it could be a matter of weeks. I can see how someone that likes everything to be planned out would have a really hard time just waiting. I guess it's the first sign for a new mom to realize that not everything is in her control. Well, perhaps I will take some pictures of Rudy and I and upload them for your viewing in the future but rest assured, there will be plenty of pictures of the little man to show you as soon as he shows up!
